Kinder Morgan Methane Reduction Commitment
Kinder Morgan recognizes that methane emissions associated with the production, transportation, storage, and distribution of natural gas should be minimized so that those emissions do not diminish the climate advantage of natural gas over other fuels. We support performance-based federal regulations and we will continue to manage and minimize methane emissions in our operations as we have for 25 years. Since 1993, we have implemented over 110 billion cubic feet of methane reductions. In addition, through ONE Future and other efforts, we are working with other sectors of the natural gas industry to improve the efficiency of the natural gas value chain and to engender a collective commitment to addressing methane emissions.
See our 2018 ESG Report for more details on our methane reduction activities.
